A quick and easy recipe for preparing homemade kisses.1Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie, once it is liquid, add the Conti Nobile Natura pure hazelnuts paste and mix vigorously. Put in the fridge for about 10 minutes to make the dough more solid. This will serve to form the inside of your praline.

 2With the obtained mixture form the chocolate balls and put on top a whole hazelnut.

 3Melt the remaining chocolate in a bain-marie, dip the chocolates, with a small fork drain them well and put them to solidify on baking paper.

4Prepare a cheat sheet with a special phrase, wrapped with tin foil.

Your homemade Baci are ready! Enjoy your meal!

INGREDIENTI for the inside:

  • 80 gr of hazelnuts paste by Conti Nobile Natura,

  • 30 gr of dark chocolate.

INGREDIENTS for coverage:

  • 30 gr of whole hazelnuts by Conti Nobile Natura

  • 100 gr of dark chocolate 75%

The famous Bacio was created in Perugia in 1922: Luisa Spagnoli, historical founder of the company, decided to use the processing waste (mainly fragments of hazelnuts) that were thrown away, to make a mixture of hazelnuts and cocoa. It came out a strange chocolate with an irregular shape, which reminded of a closed fist, hence the name “Cazzotto” (punch). Giovanni Buitoni, managing director of the company, proposed to put a whole hazelnut on it and to call it Bacio.

The marriage between hazelnut and cocoa took place around 1806 in Turin: because of the naval blockade imposed by Napoleon on English ships and all the products coming from the colonies, the Turin chocolate makers, used to producing 350kg of chocolate a day, decided to mix the cocoa available with the Langhe hazelnut. This is how the Gianduia was born.
